My Day

My Day

Being an early bird and mother of three my day usually starts pretty early. I wake up no later than 7, even on the weekends and during breaks. I then take my youngest to her daily therapy which normally start at nine in the morning while on summer break. I get back home around noon so prepare lunch for my children or grab something on the way in. I normally start my daily cleaning routine after figuring out lunch having an assigned task in mind. I try to do laundry at least a load a day, rotating between me and my children clothes and the linen at least once a week.  Dishes is a daily task as well normally having dishes from that morning or night before. I wouldn’t say I am the cleanest but I definitely try to keep the filth at a minimum.

After my cleaning spree I get some time in with my older two. We either do something they want as simple as watching tv or planning something together. Or go somewhere they want to go, like the store or park or something. We eat dinner no later than 7 and start preparing for the next day, most nights the whole house is settled by 10. I use the wind down time in between dinner and getting ready for bed to complete an assignment or two for school.

Now that school is back in for the kids, we are up at 530 or 6 and out of the house by 7. I drop my youngest to school and send my other two off on the bus. By 8 I am back home and working on my daily tasks and homework. I then go back to get my youngest from school and to therapy we go. By 330 or 4 we are back home and I am greeting my oldest two from school. I then make sure there is study time and time to do homework before getting ready for dinner. Again dinner no later than 7 and preparing for bed by 9. And we do it all over again.

On the weekends my schedule flips completely. I worked third shift on Saturday and Sundays so most of the day I am relaxing or sleep. Although I have to work I use this as my rejuvenation period and recharge for the next week. When I get off on Monday morning I come straight home to get my kids to school.
