Looking Healthy

I don’t have my skin care down to science, the older I get the more it changes. I do have a few remedies I to ensure I maintain it’s condition. As mentioned I try to drink as much water as possible, knowing that it is one our bodies main detox. I would say I drink close to a gallon of water a day, whenever I am not drinking as much my skin starts to dry out.

Also I don’t have a specific product I use on my skin, I’m not really knowledgeable about cosmetics and skin products. I rely on the good old remedy, isopropyl alcohol and cocoa butter. This was something I picked up as a teenager, my skin being to sensitive for off the shelf facial cleaners, so I put together this concoction. I knew the alcohol would clean my skin and pores and that it would also dry it out too. So with my melanin and sensitivity I decided on cocoa butter as my moisturizer and it smells good.

Now don’t get me wrong I still have breakouts and a pimple or two especially around my cycle. But for the most part my skin stays clear and looking rejuvenated, when I am consistent that is. I do feel eventually I will need to switch up my skin care routine because as I age I am getting more blemishes and it may be a side effect from the alcohol. However I do receive lots of compliments on my beauty and how my skin glows, so I guess it’s working for now.

PS. I’m heavy on natural beauty, I do not really care for make up and embellishments.
